The weather's too nice for desk work!
Hey all! My big project this week has been making a new round of blank hour tokens so that we can get them out to artists for painting. If that sentence made no sense to you, don't worry. I'll be doing a big write-up of the whole Commoners' Hour concept for the newsletter next week. Unfortunately, it looks like today is going to be the last good day for outdoor woodworking for a while, so I have to pick between getting that done and putting out a proper newsletter this week.
Luckily, there are plenty of other folks doing cool stuff in our community! So in lieu of reading a Montague Commoners newsletter this week, why not go check out the White Lake Community Garden's new proposal for 2026? They've got some really cool plans in the works.
Also, don't forget about the Money Out of Politics Drive & Sign event at the Farmer's Market next Thursday. It's an easy opportunity to help reduce the influence of oligarchs and corporate interests. I'll be there helping Tamara collect signatures.
This week's nails Hour Tokens

Haven't done my nails this week, because it turns out that belt sander + momentary inattention = minor but gnarly abrasion injury, and I want to give that a chance to heal. So instead, here's a pic of some of the hour tokens that artists made last year.
So get outside and get some sun while it lasts, and I'll see you back here next week.
