Artisan Market Preview!
Hey all! I'm trying a new thing this week, let me know what you think!
This is your reminder that the Artisan Market is tomorrow from 9am-2pm, and this month's upcycling project is EcoBricks. I've been making EcoBricks for about six years now, and I'm hoping that we'll eventually have enough to build a shed or an outhouse over at Treespeaker.
You can earn hours towards anything we sell by helping stuff plastic shopping bags into 2-liter soda bottles, and if you have any shopping bags or 2L bottles you want to get rid of, this is a great chance to put them towards a good cause. Once you know how to make an EcoBrick (there is a bit of a trick to packing them tightly enough), you can make them at home and trade them in for hour tokens at our booth.

Also, we've got some new baskets in the shop this week, in a variety of sizes and colors. I had a lot of meetings this week, which combined with all the rain to mean higher than average basket production. Acorn season is going to be here before we know it, and you don't want to be caught without a foraging basket while the trees are throwing free food at us.

Last but not least, we'll have the Ranked Choice Voting petition available for signing! The White Lake area is still punching well above its weight class in terms of signature collection, but some of the Grand Rapids teams are starting to pull ahead. We're going to need to step our game up if we want to keep embarrassing major metropolitan areas with our plucky small town organizing 😉
Hope to see you all tomorrow, and I hope this was a useful reminder!
